The President of the CDAA presides over all meetings of the CDAA. She is Chair of the CDAA Board and represents members of our association by providing leadership and communications about CDAA.
Shall attend all meetings of the CDAA and preside over any meeting in the absence of the President and act on her behalf as required. She shall finalize all General and Executive meeting arrangements and coordinate the requirements of the speakers. She shall assume the office of President upon completion of her term as President-Elect. She shall attend the Annual Meeting of College of Alberta Dental Assistants, CADA, and any other meetings required by CDAA.
Shall keep a record of all proceedings of all meetings of the CDAA. She shall send out notices and look after correspondence directed to the Secretary.
Shall take charge of all monies and pay bills as are countersigned by the president. Shall keep accurate financial records. Shall notify the CADA of the current amount of CDAA annual dues.
Acts in an advisory capacity to the CDAA Board. Responsible for preparing the nomination sheets and conducting the annual elections during her term.
Supported by the CDAA in increasing public awareness of Dental Health Month. Projects vary year to year. Please contact the Dental Health Month Representative if you would like to participate.
Supports the CDAA by acquiring door prizes and performing hospitality functions as required for meetings or events.

Manage all registrations and keep current email list of members, manage the registration desk at General Meetings, send information / newsletters to members via email, arrange student presentations and present info about CDAA and promote student membership.
An Awards committee chair is appointed each fall and is responsible for forming a committee that will encourage and accept award nominations for both the CDAA awards program and submission of nominations for CADA awards.
